About This Park

Benefaction of James Paine. In 1770s 'Seven Dials', St Giles a haunt of cut-throats, thieves and prostitutes. In 1773, the city commissioners pulled its column down to reduce its pull and new stigma . Architect Paine had it put in his garden. Now see KT13
